The Promise of Ghanian Youth

After my first visit to the Ghana, I concluded that the way forward for this nation is through its youth. My subsequent visits left me equally impressed with the young people I encountered. Whether they were students, street vendors, farmers, business people, fishermen, artists, mechanics, entrepreneurs, educators , or political officials... they all reflected a spirit of personal and national pride for themselves and their nation. Seemingly, poverty and other maladies associated with a struggling nation are mere opportunities for Ghana's youth to aim higher, work harder, and succeed in any endeavor they pursue. My cameras captured youth at work, play, and worship. I shall never forget the aspirations, hopes, and confidence, they expressed during our many conversations, social interactions, and discussions. Hopefully, the "esprit de corps" for their country comes through in this photographic portfolio which explores the daily life of young people in a promising young nation .
