I view black and white photography as the most expressive of the many forms of photography. From that day in my Western Olin High School ( Birmingham, Alabama) camera club when I first laid eyes on a black and white image coming into existence in the developing tray, I was hooked!! Hence, I recall my photography club teacher, Mr. Bennett, saying to me at that moment, "Eugene, black and white photography is the essence of a photographer's ability to capture an image that will forever speak to its viewers." Thus , I set out to learn how to speak to the viewers of my photography by taking photography classes, talking to photographers, museum visits, attending photography seminars and exhibits, spending countless hours in my darkroom, and eventually exhibiting my own works throughout metropolitan Detroit, Michigan. Hopefully, the images below will "speak" to you. Enjoy your viewing and BE WELL.
